Through the ups and downs we have become closer as our love has matured and deepened. It’s amazing how the doubts are gone and have been replaced by an uncontested knowing deep within.
From “I Love You Too” by Amit Kalantri
a day –
All that I have been, am and will be is yours. All I ask is that you love me best in times when I deserve it least. No matter what I may say in anger, do in frustration or mistakenly behave, love me still and I will love you even more.
Father of the Indian independence movement, Mohandas Gandhi

Don’t give up. Hang it there. I am in this relationship for keeps. Whatever it takes, I’ll be here. Please forgive my shortcomings and I will let yours fade. Let’s stay in love and be happy. Please…

Every sweet moment we share brings us closer. Every challenge we overcome bonds us tighter together. Life without you no longer makes any sense. The melody of my life would lack harmony without you.
From the song “Love Is Like a Song” by Hanna Pakarinen
Our love is like a song
That we can sing together;
Sometimes we get it wrong;
It really doesn’t matter;
There’s nothing else so true
As the melody in you;
Just knowing that you’re there,
Just knowing we belong,
Our love is like a song.
We sing it over and over
Cause that’s the way it goes
The highs and lows
In perfect harmony…
Waking up happy with you is a different experience that any I have ever had. Whether we wake up quickly or slowly, are tender or in a fun mood or get lost in passion in each other’s arms… mornings have never been like this before.
From an Hindi film titled “Dil Se” (“From The Heart”)
When we go home each day, it is the same place for both of us now. We have merged our lives. I’m happy and believe you are too. May our comfort and contentment grow through good times and the rough spots too.
American Catholic monk writer, poet, activist and mystic. Thomas Merton
we find it
We’re very different but a great match. Day by day we grow closer and fall deeper into “like” and “love”. We’re no longer complete apart. You plus me is far more than one plus one.
Adapted from the poem “Take the Chance” by Teseth
Here are the words
That you long to know
I need you, I love you,
I won’t let you go.
Here are the words
That I long to feel
You need me, you want me
Your love is for real.
To share our true thoughts
We both now must choose
To share all of ourselves;
It’s win or lose.
We’ll both reap rewards
If we just take the chance;
What a remarkable life
You, me, and romance.
Being with you has broadened my perception of love. It’s build on a foundation of ordinary things like brushing our teeth together, kissing with morning breath and helping each other make dinner. In such commonality the true magic of love grows.
From “The Secret Life of Prince Charming” by Deb Caletti
I used to think that finding
the right one was about the man
having a list of certain qualities.
If he has them, we’d be compatible
and happy. Sort of a checkmark
system that was a complete failure.
But I found out that a healthy
relationship isn’t so much about sense
of humor or intelligence or attractive.
It’s about avoiding partners with
harmful traits and personality types.
And then it’s about being with
a good person. A good person
on his own, and a good person
with you. Where the space
between you feels uncomplicated
and happy. A good relationship
is where things just work.
They work because,
whatever the list of qualities,
whatever the reason,
you happen to be
really, really good together.
How could I have known our first holidays together would accelerate the growth of my love for you? Sharing the days together and being accepted by your family brought happiness I am unable to adequately thank you for.
American artist and writer Robert Sexton
In a time
is more certain
of two people
to one another
difficult and rare.
Yet, by its scarcity,
of this exchange
have only been
Every time you’ve been upset at me or I’ve been at you; every time I’ve hurt you or you’ve hurt me; every time some simple thing has come between us we’ve compromised, made up and our love has become stronger.
British playwright and novelist William Somerset Maugham
We are not
nor are those
It is a happy
chance if we,
