Captured My Soul

My Darling…
Still I am astounded. When first you came into view, I knew you, yet you were a complete stranger. Still you were so familiar; so known to me. Is it no wonder that I fell so easily? It feels like you have always been in my heart.

Unfold In Reality

My Dear…
You have settled into my near constant thoughts, yet we hardly know each other. There is a familiarity about you that whispers I have known you before. Maybe it’s only a dream trying to unfold in reality.

Magic In Your Eyes

Sweet One…
Could you be her; “the one” for the rest of my life? Why do I feel this strong pull toward someone I barely know? I am enticed by simply the possibility. Just looking at your photo I find magic in your smile and adventure in your eyes.

From the book “Eat, Pray, Love” by Elizabeth Gilbert
mystery-woman 01Happiness is the consequence
of personal effort.
You fight for it,
strive for it,
insist upon it,
and sometimes even travel
around the world looking for it.
You have to participate relentlessly
in the manifestations
of your own blessings.
And once you have achieved
a state of happiness, you must never
become lax about maintaining it.
You must make a mighty effort
to keep swimming upward
into that happiness forever,
to stay afloat on top of it.”

Most of All

My Sweet…
In a moment I was changed and can never be the same again. Now I know you really exist; the one who made my heart jump the first time I saw her. I’m excited. I’m scared. I’m thrilled. I’m afraid. But most of all I am grateful.

Love At First Sight

My Darling…
We just met and this magic feeling may not last. With all my being I hope it does! But if this day is all there is I will always be able to say truthfully I know what love at first sight feels like.

By an anonymous and unknown author
1832_1365436170We all want to fall in love. Why?
Because that experience
makes us feel completely alive.
Where every sense is heightened,
every emotion is magnified,
our everyday reality is shattered
and we are flying into the heavens.
It may only last a moment,
an hour, an afternoon.
But that doesn’t diminish its value.
Because we are left with memories
that we treasure
for the rest of our lives.

Only Saw Beauty

My Love…
How well I remember the day we met! You had on blue jeans and an old t-shirt with grease all over your face from helping your Dad fix your car. My eyes saw only beauty then, but see it even more now.

From “The Last Song” by novelist and screenwriter Nicholas Sparks

knowing with
certainty that
he was
falling in
love.
He pulled
her close
and kissed
her beneath
a blanket
of stars,
wondering
how on earth
he’d been lucky
enough to
find her.

No Longer Complete

Love…
…stirs deeply when we look at each other. Making eye contact with you is one the single most uplifting experiences I have ever known. In those moments we connect to be one living and breathing being; apart, no longer complete.

From “Deliriium” by American author Lauren Oliver
2313014679_0890cb221a_oEDITAs soon as I look up,
his eyes click onto my face.
The breath whooshes
out of my body and
everything freezes
for a second, as though
I’m looking at him
through my camera lens,
zoomed in all the way,
the world pausing
for that tiny span of time
between the opening
and closing of the shutter.

Courage and Understanding

Love…
…is most lasting when served with equal measures of courage and understanding; courage to face the difficulties that will try to tear the lovers apart; understanding so those times don’t succeed.
