Sole Sovereign of a Heart

Love…
…knows no master. It is the sole sovereign of a heart. Willingly one becomes its captive and gladly serves its needs. No bondage is more sought after. No chains are more happily received.

Taken from a poem by an author unknown
The chains
of a heart
do solely bind
each other’s souls
for all of time.
The chains
are strong
and will
never break;
my hand,
my heart,
my soul
to take.

Until We Meet Again

Love…
…is thinking of you in the morning after I first get up and at night as I am going to sleep. It is a casual thought of you at lunch time and when driving home. At random moments all throughout my day you are on my mind, always hoping you are well and going good.

Writer and spiritual leader Rabbi Julius Gordon
So until we meet again,
I am thinking of you
Always;
I love you;
I wish you were here…
In my arms.

Time’s Ceaseless Flow

Love…
…is expressed in a volume of meaning without a single word spoken during a hug that lingers when we haven’t seen each other in several days.

Taken from “Love Defined” by Matt Dubois
What is love,
but an emotion,
So strong and so pure,
That nurtured
and shared with another
All tests it will endure.
What is love,
but a force
To bring the mighty low,
With the strength
to shame the mountains
And halt time’s ceaseless flow.

Closest to the Source of Life

Love…
…is a touch of your hand on mine, a smile on your face when our eyes make contact, standing close and feeling you near and so many little things that would not matter if we did not feel about each other as we do.

From “Ageless Body, Timeless Mind” by Deepak Chopra
Love
is considered
the most basic emotion
that human awareness can feel;
therefore,
it is the closest
to the source of life.
