Having Dreams Again

I love…
…that I have begun to dream again since our hearts became mingled together.  Some time my dreaming feels wonderful and sweet; at others it is confusing or even unsettling; but what matters most is I’m having dreams again!

From song “Talkin’ World War III Blues” by Bob Dylan
I’ll
let
you
be
in
my
dream
if
I
can
be
in
yours.

There is No Disguise

I love…
…knowing I matter to you.  I feel love in the way you treat me, in what you say to me, in the way you hold me and in most all you do.

Maxim of François VI, Duc de La Rochefoucauld
There is no disguise
which can for long
conceal love
where it exists
or simulate it
where it does not.

The Perfect Way

I love…
…how tightly you hold me when we hug and how your arms linger around me for a long time while you press yourself lovingly against me.

From “A Simple Hug” by Johnny Ray Ryder, Jr.
A hug
Is an amazing thing.
It’s just the perfect way
To show the love
We’re feeling
But can’t find
The words to say.

The Child In Me

I love…
…that you know my dark secrets but understand the past is past.  I am grateful you see what happen before we met as irrelevant to the present.

“The Child In Him” by Jean Gabor
I loved the child in him
so innocent and sweet
The mischief in his eyes
the blush upon his cheek
The tender way he spoke
that showed me that he cared
The touch of his warm hand
that gently touched my hair
The smiles that we shared
that filled my life with glee
For when I was with him
I found the child in me

Feel My Heartbeat

I love…
…that you like to sit close on the couch while we watch a movie at home.  Even those I have seen before are better when shared with you.

Taken from “Together We Are One” by Andre Willis
Close your eyes
and see me.

Reach out
and I am there.

Feel my heartbeat
in your chest.

Run your fingers
through my hair.

Plenty of Room

I love…
…how open you are when there is something we need to talk out. That’s only one of many ways you show just how much you care and want the best for us.

American literary critic Barbara Johnson
Love
is
what
makes
two
people
sit
in
the
middle
of a bench
when there’s
plenty of room on both ends.

Everything You Do

I love…
… when you bring me a second cup of coffee in the morning while I am writing at my desk and then you kiss me on the cheek just before walking away.

From “The Way You Make Me Feel” by Amanda Standridge
You make me
Feel special,
You make me
Feel new,
You make me
Feel loved,
With everything
You do.
