Shouts Its Name Silently

Love…
…is easy to spot when real and true. There’s an invisible glow about a loving couple in good and bad times. Such love can’t be faked. Genuine and faithful hearted love shouts it name silently.

From “The Name of the Wind” by American writer Patrick Rothfuss
slowdanceMy parents
danced together,
her head
on his chest.
Both had
their eyes closed.
They seemed so
perfectly content.
The image of them
gently swaying
to the music
is how
I picture love
in my mind
even after
all these years.

Not Something We Give or Get

Love…
…is enduring and durable. When two people are meant for each other; no time is too long; no distance too far; no obstacle too difficult; no pain too great. For you, I would endure anything.

Two Hearts in Unison

Love…
…is what allows a person to be their most vulnerable with the belief he or she will not get hurt. It’s an almost blind faith that more often than not is undeserved. But when the risk pays off, the angels sing with two hearts in unison.

Not a Choice

Love…
…has to be a little crazy to be good. Falling in love is like jumping off a really tall building. Your brain tells you it is not a good idea, but your heart tells you that you can fly.

It

Till Forever

Love…
…was exciting when we met and were getting to know each other. The initial exhilaration has mellowed over time into the greatest joy I have known. The life we share is the source of my joy.

Beyond My Control

Love…
…for you has never been something I could hold back. Meeting you was fate, becoming your friend was a choice, but falling in love with you was completely beyond my control.

Never As Deeply

Love…
…separated by years, is still the same love. Though we were long ago parted, there is a place in my heart no one else will ever touch. I have loved since and may love yet again, but never as deeply as I love you.

Not Only…

Love…
…is magic. Someone asked me what the happiest day of my life was. I closed my eyes and felt a joyful tear run down my face as I thought back to the day when you first told me you loved me.

Only Sensible Way to Love

Love…
…can be unavoidably insane when the emotion is deep and true. To carry a flame for a person one hasn’t seen in years and years is crazy. But I’d rather be thought an unwise and silly fool than to give up the love in my heart I carry for you.

When You’re Away

Love…
…fills me when a man walks by wearing your cologne. I think of that scent as yours alone and never quite right on anyone else. Did you know when you’re away I go to sleep on your pillow so I can smell you?
