Love…
…spoken as a child was “I like you”; as teenager as “love ya”; in the 20’s with “I love you”; when 30-something “I love you with all I am”; middle-aged 40’s as “I will always love you” and now in my 50’s I say “I love you even though you’re no longer here”.

Love…
…stirs deeply when we look at each other. Making eye contact with you is one the single most uplifting experiences I have ever known. In those moments we connect to be one living and breathing being; apart, no longer complete.

From “Deliriium” by American author Lauren Oliver
2313014679_0890cb221a_oEDITAs soon as I look up,
his eyes click onto my face.
The breath whooshes
out of my body and
everything freezes
for a second, as though
I’m looking at him
through my camera lens,
zoomed in all the way,
the world pausing
for that tiny span of time
between the opening
and closing of the shutter.

Love…
…appears quickly, but grows slowly. Only when tested by time, circumstance and destiny can it reach its potential. Like an acorn quick to sprout, love takes years and years to grow strong and lasting. Look how tall ours has become!

American romance and fantasy author Phyllis Christine Cast (P.C. Cast)

It happens
only when
the souls
of two join
together
to form
one.

Love…
…keeps you close in mind and heart. Although I can no longer reach out and touch you, I feel you close by. As long as I live your life will continue. Long ago I ceased to be able to have any boundary between who I was and am now because of you.

From “Before You Go…” book series by Canadian writer Vensa Bailey

you;

will I

of you.

Love…
…oh, my love of long ago, please don’t select your words cautiously or second guess sharing your feelings. You are there. I am here. That’s where life placed us. Our real and true selves are the only gifts we have to give one other.

From a poem titled “Daydream” by Cassie McNair
DaydreamDust-slider-700x466EDITWhenever I day dream,
and day dream I do,
in my secret garden,
I day dream of you.
I day dream of you,
in a faraway land;
embracing me tight
and holding my hand.
Holding my hand,
and touching my face.
Just you and me,
in this peaceful place.

Love…
…can endure. Though years and decades; misery and happiness; accomplishment and failure; joy and heartbreak; in life, and I suspect after death, I have loved you best, most and above all. You will always be “the one”.

every time
you’ve made
me smile,
the entire
evening sky
would be
in the palm
of my hand.

Love…
…unrequited is still love. Some of the greatest romances told were known only to one person with unreciprocated love carried as a secret song in a single heart.

From Don Juan by Anglo-Scottish poet Lord Byron
one songThen
there were sighs,
the deeper for suppression,
And
stolen glances,
sweeter for the theft,
And
burning blushes,
tho’ for no transgression,
Tremblings when met,
and restlessness when left.

Love…
…forms a sort of single-mindedness within its bearer. All though the days waking hours and dreams in the night, one’s beloved becomes the single most thought about, most wished and most dearly held contemplation.

Love…
…cares nothing about our plans, where we think we’re headed or what choices we have made. Love seeks only its mirrored self reflected back from another heart and will defy all logic, rational thought and common sense to obtain it.

Love…
…like gravity, pulls me toward you. I am helpless to withstand its force. What draws me in your direction is centered in my heart and glows brightly like a newly lighted sun.

Quote from unknown writer, Philippos Aristotelous
heart-on-fire-screensaver-main-viewWhen you feel cold
and warm at the same time,
when you read over the same line
for the tenth time,
when your heart and thoughts
somehow appear to rhyme,
and when a simple name
conquers your whole mind,
then you are
in deep trouble my friend…
you are in what they call, “love”.
